Our Approach

Our provision is rooted in the Forest School ethos: regular, learner-led experiences in the natural environment that give children time to explore, play, take appropriate risks, develop practical skills and follow their own interests.
As a Forest School Association Recognised Provider, we are committed to delivering Forest School in line with recognised principles and professional standards.
Through consistent sessions and trusted relationships, pupils are given the time and space to build confidence, resilience, independence, wellbeing and a meaningful connection with the natural world.
We work with your school to agree priorities for the provision and review how it is supporting your pupils over time.
If you would like to discuss whether this provision may be suitable for your school, please get in touch.
Weather and Clothing
Sessions run in most weather to build resilience, but safety comes first. We cancel for severe conditions (high winds, storms).
Pupils need appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is managed in partnership with the school. The World Outside follows its own safeguarding procedures and works within the school’s safeguarding arrangements, with any concerns reported promptly through the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Behaviour Approach
We view behaviour as communication and use a calm, relational approach focused on co-regulation, trust, consistency and emotional safety
