Holiday Sessions - Wilderness Explorers
During school holidays we run our Wilderness Explorer sessions - two hour sessions for 5-12 year olds (or one hour for the Under 5s) where the children can experience and discover the woods in a safe and secure environment.
The wonderful woodland of Bodenham Arboretum provides a beautiful autumnal backdrop for our adventures! Activities include bushcraft and forest school type activities, including den building, mud kitchen, cooking on the fire, natural arts and crafts.
Please note that unless otherwise stated that children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Ages are for guidance only please enquire if you have siblings outside of the suggested age group
Places Limited - Book early to avoid disappointment!
All the Wilderness and Mini Wilderness Explorers are run with the ethos of forest school, with a variety of activities from den building, mini beast hunting, natural crafts, cooking on the fire etc.
Forest School for Children & Families
Join us at Bodenham Arboretum for outdoor adventures inspired by the Forest School ethos.
Our sessions give children time to explore, play, create and connect with nature in a relaxed woodland setting. Activities vary with the seasons and may include campfire cooking, den building, natural crafts, minibeast hunting, mud kitchen play, woodland games and plenty of time for child-led exploration.
Forest Fridays
Ages 2–5
Our regular term-time Forest School sessions for younger children and their accompanying adults. A chance to slow down, explore the woods, build confidence and enjoy time outdoors together.
Mini Wilderness Explorers
Ages 2–5
One-hour themed woodland sessions for younger children and their accompanying adults, running during the school holidays.
Wilderness Explorers
Ages 5–12
Two-hour themed woodland adventures for children and their accompanying adults. Older and younger siblings are welcome to join in too.
Full-Day Holiday Club
Ages 6–12
Our full-day, drop-off Forest Explorers Holiday Club runs during the school holidays, giving children six hours of outdoor adventure, independence, creativity and woodland fun from 8.45am to 3.00pm.
